Womenswear Designer & Product Developer

Location: Warriewood Head Office

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Womenswear Designer & Product Developer to support the Creative Director in the design and development of the Bassike womenswear collection.

This role is ideal for someone with approximately five years' experience in a commercial fashion brand who has a strong eye for trend, excellent product development skills and a genuine passion for premium womenswear.

Working closely alongside the Creative Director, you will assist in bringing each collection to life through research, design support and end-to-end product development. You will play an integral role in the execution of the collection, ensuring products are developed to the highest standards of quality, fit and commercial viability.

While this position is primarily a support role, there will be opportunities to take on greater design responsibility as the role develops.

Key Responsibilities

Trend Research & Design Support

  • Research global fashion trends, runway collections, retail markets and emerging fabric innovations
  • Prepare seasonal research and inspiration for the Creative Director
  • Assist with seasonal colour palettes, fabric direction and concept development
  • Create presentation boards and design documentation
  • Support the Creative Director throughout the seasonal design process
  • Identify opportunities to evolve and elevate existing core product

Product Development

  • Co-ordinate with and assist product developers across allocated styles
  • Liaise with suppliers throughout the sampling process
  • Ensure all samples are checked thoroughly against specifications
  • Attend fit sessions and accurately record comments and development notes
  • Work closely with pattern makers to achieve the desired fit and garment execution
  • Ensure development timelines are achieved across multiple categories

Collection Coordination

  • Maintain seasonal range plans and collection accuracy
  • Organise and track samples throughout development
  • Maintain fabric, trim and development libraries
  • Coordinate approvals and communicate updates with suppliers and internal teams
  • Support preparation for range reviews and sales presentations

Development to Production Handover

  • Oversee style handover to production
  • Ensure all product information is complete and accurately handed over to Production
  • Assist in maintaining consistency and quality across all styles

Sustainability

  • Support sustainable design and development practices throughout the collection
  • Research and recommend responsible fabrics, trims and production processes where appropriate

About You

You have around five years experience working within a commercial fashion brand and thrive in a fast-paced product environment. You are highly organised, trend aware and passionate about premium product. You enjoy collaborating closely with a Creative Director and have the confidence to contribute ideas while also taking ownership of the detailed execution that brings a collection to life. This role would suit someone looking to continue developing their design career within a highly creative and supportive team.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design
  • Approximately 5 years' experience in a womenswear design and/or product development role
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fit and fabrication
  • Excellent trend research and market awareness
  • Experience preparing technical specification packs
  • Strong Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite skills
  • Experience working within PLM or ERP systems (AP21 or similar preferred)
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a creative team

Production Manager

Full-Time, Head Office – Warriewood, NSW
Immediate start preferred

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organised Production Manager to join our Production team in a full-time capacity. Working closely with Design, Product Development, Raw Materials and our local and international manufacturing partners, this role is responsible for managing the end-to-end production process to ensure products are delivered on time, to budget and to the high quality standards Bassike is known for.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Managing the end-to-end production process from purchase order through to delivery
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with both onshore and offshore manufacturing partners
  • Managing production critical paths and ensuring key milestones are achieved
  • Monitoring production schedules and proactively identifying and resolving potential delays
  • Working closely with Product Development and Raw Materials teams to ensure all production requirements are met
  • Reviewing production capacity and planning with manufacturing partners
  • Negotiating lead times and supporting cost and efficiency improvements
  • Managing quality, delivery and production performance across the supplier base
  • Coordinating approvals, shipment readiness and production documentation
  • Partnering with Logistics to ensure timely delivery into the warehouse
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
  • Contributing to supplier performance reviews and ongoing manufacturing strategy

This is a collaborative role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong supplier relationships and has a proactive approach to problem-solving.

About You

  • Previous experience in a Production Manager role within the fashion or apparel industry
  • Demonstrated experience managing both offshore and onshore apparel manufacturers
  • Strong understanding of garment manufacturing, production timelines and critical path management
  • Excellent knowledge of factory processes, quality standards and production planning
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
  • Experience using AP21 or similar ERP/production management systems (desirable)

Assistant Accountant

Full Time, Warriewood Head Office

We are seeking a detail-driven and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day financial operations of a purpose-led Australian brand, while developing your accounting career in a collaborative and values-driven environment. You will gain hands-on experience across key accounting functions, working closely with a supportive team and playing an integral role in maintaining financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and post accurate journal entries
  • Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
  • Assist with quarterly BAS preparation and compliance
  • Support accounts payable, receivable and payroll processes
  • Maintain accurate financial records to support audit and reporting requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects

About You

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline (or currently studying)
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical capability

  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • A proactive team player with a mindset for continuous improvement

Womenswear Fit Model

Casual, Warriewood Head Office

We have an opportunity for a casual fit model to join our design team to assist in ensuring our garments fit accurately. No previous fit model experience is necessary.

The primary purpose of this role includes: 

  • Attends fit sessions as a fit model and provides feedback to designers where necessary 

Required measurements: 

  • Dress size 8
  • Bust 84cm
  • Waist 67-69cm
  • Height 170 -175cm

Measurement accuracy is important for this role, body measurements must be as close as possible to those listed above.

Marketing & Communications Intern

One day per week, Warriewood Head Office

We offer structured, unpaid internship programs to students studying at approved educational institutes where a core requirement of their study involves completing workplace training.

We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to work alongside a small marketing and digital team in a dynamic and supported environment. The intern will gain an understanding in developing and executing marketing strategy, sample management, influencer partnerships, assisting on photo shoots, event planning, reporting and general department duties.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be a quick learner, highly organized and eager to learn new systems and processes
  • Possess a problem-solving mind-set and have excellent attention to detail
  • Be a team player
  • Intermediate microsoft office skills: excel, powerpoint (or keynote) and word
