About Organic Jersey
By choosing a Bassike organic cotton jersey t-shirt over a conventional cotton t-shirt, you are saving 1.9 kg of carbon and other greenhouse gases (co2e), the equivalent to 2.5 hours of electricity use. This saving is possible due to our holistic approach to sustainability, such as sourcing 62% of our power from renewable sources and recycling off-cut materials.
Through our commitment to organic cotton farming practices, Bassike saves approximately 97 million litres of water and 9.6 metric tonnes of pesticides and chemical fertilisers per year.
When laundering, we recommend following the care instruction label, located on the inside of your Bassike garment, to ensure you are receiving the most accurate instructions for each product.
As a general guide, you may machine wash your organic jersey at a low temperature (maximum of 30 degrees celsius) or at a cold wash setting to reduce the risk of shrinkage and colour fading, while also minimising the associated cost and environmental impact of energy usage.
To increase the longevity of your garment, we recommend naturally drying your organic jersey piece in a shaded area, laying flat. This will assist with preserving the colour and shape.
